Looking ahead : Diwali!!

Festivals are an inseparable part of life in India not just because people are so religious towards God and they feel that they really show their gratitude (majority don't - no offence here) but because its a damn holiday, and festival like diwali brings yearly bonus together with it. Everyone starting from a petty maid to a high class employee from any Indian organization expects gifts and bonuses.
With so much of 'give and take', the economy is bustling, sudden demand for all items in market, Gold prices and Real estate prices skyrocket and even the local tailor makes a huge sum because of sudden increase in orders for custom made 'grand' suits to be worn on the occassion of diwali.
The custom itself is being religiously followed and all the idea behind the festival is smeared deep beneath dust.Even a 5-yr kid will tell you that People burst crackers for their enjoyment, not for God's.
So, where does the fault lie. Its hard and bitter to hear the truth and this truth has been debated upon in many occassions, it has been suppressed to a large extent and nobody will believe such a truth, so I wont give away the answer but leave you pondering about it, hoping that you wont celebrate diwali the way other's do.
