1411

So, what is 1411?

The latest ads on tv would have bugged you with this figure. With the jobless Baichung Bhutia vouching for a cause, a cause which his community could never understand. A cause which is worrying the nation at large. A cause which is worth dying for!!
To save the tiger

Although, statistically 1411 tigers roam in the jungles of India, nobody would like to know the true figure as it disturbs us. The true number is far more alarming and I just hope it is atleast a 3 digit number. But, some people just want to make money out of this fact, this time its Aircel.

The trend is not new, people always make money knowing some facts. The bald truth is that Aircel just wants to increase its popularity and side by side make money! I mean who would leave such a chance; tigers have always been fascinating the human kind and any enthusiast would jump into the movement, get in touch with aircel, have a chance to feel their products, get ads posted all over : "Save the tiger campaign - sponsored by Aircel"

Right now, nobody will believe me; but that's not the point. The proof will anyway be unfolded during the annual results when the sales figures would give indications of a steep rise.

I believe, blogs & campaigns are just not enough to save the tiger. Simply because, we can't expect a tiger to read blogs and replicate "Save me"

The problem has a solution but nobody has even gone close to it. The solution cannot be political interference, it has to be judicial. You and me are too smart to understand the judicial system here, it sucks!!

Individuals and I repeat only individuals can make a difference, not companies. Somebody has to understand the depth of the problem and then try to solve it with the existing support (which is negligible). No amount of blogging can replace this exercise.

Until such a man arises, I can safely post a challenge, "There won't be jungles by 2030 and if there are jungles, there won't be a single tiger in them"

Of course, I wont like it, I won't be able to answer my first love, Reeta who now resides behind a cage in Chamarajendra zoo, Mysore. But, I will give an idea to poachers about a tiger who is hidden in human skin, so that he can be hunted for the precious bones inside and sold for a booty.

Presenting, the big bad booty daddy!!
