Topic of Brainlessness elaborated

Was reading some news on Yahoo and found this interesting piece of 'happening' news about the IPL. Like all creative money makers , Lalit Modi found an alternative to the 10 minute strategic break time per innings. Instead, it has been reduced it to 5 mins a side and the time out can be taken between 5 to 8 ovs in fielding side etc etc.. (crappy rules these are eh!)

I would normally have just closed the website but my eye caught something even more interesting, the COMMENTS:

Take a look, you may be interested too!

as ipl is cash rich tournament another policy of time has been added to it so that they can benefit from advertisement. this time out slows down the speed of the game and thus it should be opposed.

This time out is for more advert on TV. I wonder if there is any regulation in India for bombarding the viewers with adverts. Why there is no regulation about showing advers on tv . It is a great pleasure when you are watch cricket abroad, sometime adverts pop up in 30 minuts or so. See our news or any tv programme its the programme we watch or the advert. Its looks very ugly when same advert repeated 7 times in 1 minutes. That is why nobody supports hockey or football, no free time for adverts. These people only care about money and nothing to do with sports.I hope our Tv has a dooms day very soon.

Only one guy hit the jackpot relating to the topic. (Pankaj8k)
All the others seemed to just comment for the sake of commenting!!
One guy wanted to share his views about what Thakeray uncle said yesterday regarding Bharat Ratna and Sachin Tendulkar. But, someone please remind this guy that - he just posted the comment in the wrong place. Whoever declared that Sachin was going to get a Bharat Ratna. Does he even know that the Prime minister can be reached by ordinary post by just writing the address as "Prime Minister's office, New Delhi-1". Like sure, Sachin didn't help the common man! who helped the common man, Nobody!!

1410 & the brainless Youth brigade

Got to know last week that the number of tigers in India reduced by one and the new magic number is 1410, courtesy : http://churumuri.wordpress.com
Briefly about churumuri (alias bhel puri, a local delicacy): A hot and happening blog, churumuri as the name suggests has all the spice to attract readers especially those from Bangalore / Mysore and in my opinion, the author has found exceptional joy in creating humour from daily routine news.

Anyway, not long before I could recuperate from the figure 1410, I happened to see something annoying, again on that "idiot box"
It was on some zee news channel and the host gathered a bunch of IT honchos to give their opinion about the budget launched on 26th Feb '10.

When asked about the reactions on the budget and whom it suits, a brainless buffalo looking chipmonk guy replied - "Man, I should have been a farmer. Atleast, I would get subsidies and all my loans would have been cleared due to Chidambaram's 60,000 crore farmer-loan-forget blockbuster budget.

Wat the hell was this, does this guy even know the meaning of being a farmer, who in India is the least paid labourer of all classes. A farmer who spends for 100 litres of water for growing a single kilo of rice, a farmer who is just paid Rs 100 per day under the hot sun as compared to some tech guy who earns in thousands sitting in an office enjoying air conditioned air.

The more I got glued to the remote, the more I got angry, now it was the turn of some gal to say something:

So, after this guy, a sissy, nasty looking toothless pea-hen nose watering chick replied " Petrol is so costly, I mean I should open one Petrol bunk and earn more".
To this, I must applaud the thinking and say this "Ya, chick. Go ahead, let's see who will allot you a Petrol bunk!!!"

And before I could change the channel, I heard one more ox-faced, peach flavored testes carrying brainless broncho saying this - " I heard, some funds are to be allocated to Goa for beautifying the beach, I feel, I should open up some hotel and make money in Goa instead of wasting my time in this industry"

I think, this guy doesn't know what is going on in Goa right now. To remind him - One rape and a few atrocities on foreigners has brought down the number of visitors to Goa drastically. The Government has to make the beach world class, just like the beach shown in "Baywatch" (channel-Star world) with mighty lifeguards and beach patrol protecting the interest of the citizens.

Wonder, what's wrong with today's youth brigade. Like they say in hindi - Sar mein bhusa bhara hua hai. The Bronchosaurus (a dinasaur) had a brain the size of a walnut. But, I have discovered some brainless bronchos, right here in India.

Let the chaos prevail!!

1411

So, what is 1411?

The latest ads on tv would have bugged you with this figure. With the jobless Baichung Bhutia vouching for a cause, a cause which his community could never understand. A cause which is worrying the nation at large. A cause which is worth dying for!!
To save the tiger

Although, statistically 1411 tigers roam in the jungles of India, nobody would like to know the true figure as it disturbs us. The true number is far more alarming and I just hope it is atleast a 3 digit number. But, some people just want to make money out of this fact, this time its Aircel.

The trend is not new, people always make money knowing some facts. The bald truth is that Aircel just wants to increase its popularity and side by side make money! I mean who would leave such a chance; tigers have always been fascinating the human kind and any enthusiast would jump into the movement, get in touch with aircel, have a chance to feel their products, get ads posted all over : "Save the tiger campaign - sponsored by Aircel"

Right now, nobody will believe me; but that's not the point. The proof will anyway be unfolded during the annual results when the sales figures would give indications of a steep rise.

I believe, blogs & campaigns are just not enough to save the tiger. Simply because, we can't expect a tiger to read blogs and replicate "Save me"

The problem has a solution but nobody has even gone close to it. The solution cannot be political interference, it has to be judicial. You and me are too smart to understand the judicial system here, it sucks!!

Individuals and I repeat only individuals can make a difference, not companies. Somebody has to understand the depth of the problem and then try to solve it with the existing support (which is negligible). No amount of blogging can replace this exercise.

Until such a man arises, I can safely post a challenge, "There won't be jungles by 2030 and if there are jungles, there won't be a single tiger in them"

Of course, I wont like it, I won't be able to answer my first love, Reeta who now resides behind a cage in Chamarajendra zoo, Mysore. But, I will give an idea to poachers about a tiger who is hidden in human skin, so that he can be hunted for the precious bones inside and sold for a booty.

Presenting, the big bad booty daddy!!

Korba chimney collapse! How does it matter!!!

This blog post is dedicated to the huge tall middle finger look alike chimney which could not stand any longer due to the weight of the injustice on it and fell like a dragon slayed by the avenger. Although, the chimney now rests in peace and is happily in heaven, on its way it awakened me into something even taller than the chimney! This post is dedicated once again to the "aam aadmi" or the common man who is as usual- an immortal creature.

Although the collapse occured at around 2 to 3 pm in the afternoon hours of 23rd sep 2009, the news started spreading only after 5 pm. Google showed links of previously collapsed chimneys all over the world until that time. Only after 5 pm, a daring news network dared to update its website to incorporate such a horrible incident. Me with the least iota of patience stopped checking google and wasted no time in waiting for the news report on major news channels such as Ndtv, star etc. Then a voice from above educated me, that I would have to wait until eternity for watching what exactly happened on such channels.

In fact, I wonder why such channels even exist. A big disgrace to the Indian population who do not fear public wrath. They just show people and places and metros especially. In fact, some channels have dedicated time slots for showing the junk fashion, happenings and 'this guy did that' in metros.

Such a massive incident occured but there is no news on it, ndtv instead showed famous reporter Barkha questioning our President's son on "why he was chosen as a Presidential candidate". Well, the Mumbai crowd seemed to have the right answer for it - "Uske paas Maa hai". This silsila (silly silla) continued till the wee hours of 10 pm until patience broke away and blood boiled so much that a night walk had to cool it down.

When I happened to google this morning, I found so many websites giving news related to the collapse, but revealed the name of the contractor who was constructing the chimney, instead the poor owner (Balco)had to bear all the criticism, which was not the practice earlier. Wonder if the Media has been fed properly by the contractor to keep it a secret.

This is not the only current issue. India is facing a Border problem with the Chinese and there is no news relating to such events which could threaten national security. Cudos to the media who is being fed by the Government also.

"Andher nagari, Chaupat government, Ghatia media, ab tera kya hoga India"

Seriously, there is a problem in the Indian media and it needs to be rectified fast and furiously. Media should move over from the metros to the villages and show the real India, not the 'India shining' wala India.

P.S: Acknowledgement- Sincere thanks to Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala for his guts and daredevillery. An inspiration for all bloggers to condemn any sort of injustice through the internet medium.

Mood swings

I had read of the biorythm cycle which gives a simple and easy explanation about human's behaviour towards physical, emotional and intellectual orientations on any particular random day based on the date of birth of the particular person. It just draws a sinusoidal curve showing the ups and downs in the three behaviours. So, googled on the website which draws a free biorythm cycle and on this day, as per the cycle, I am high on intellectual and emotional behaviour but low on physical. Wat a combination, Huh!

What it means is I can feel disturbed and tranquilized and not do anything about it. In other words, my feelings wont translate at all into actions because of inert laziness for the next 15 days. What will happen then is even worse, I will have good physical balance but mentally lack the willingness.

How did I come to belive in this 'biorythm' stuff, its just that it matched perfectly with my mood today. But frankly, I wanna break dude! I know everything will come in line once I get home and come back, which I right now cannot do. All I can do at this point of time is believe and blame my biorythm cycle for the 'goings on'.

Working with the Indian Government Bureaucracy

We have seen lot many films which portray 'babudom' or bureaucracy, starting from the serious Gangajal to the Munnabhai movie which has a scene wherein a troubled penisoner deals with a babu in the best bureaucratic style. Yet, nothing has been done so far to improve anything. I wonder sometimes that things can never improve unless each one of us improve. It is a test of the values and principles and the social thinking of individuals.

But, seldom do people realize they have in the process dropped the axe on their own feet. I got enlightened on this issue when I experienced the wrath of a central Govt institute's bureaucracy.

The story begins with a happy scene, it begins with me fighting all the odds and managing to get a project which can be backed with so many facilities from central workshop, non destructive lab etc etc, you name the lab and the institute has it. All was well on paper, so much so that I never realized one basic prophecy : naked truth can be bitter.

After all, the 'babus' working in the institute are to be dealt with, not the paper. So, began a tearful journey of working for a project which is going to shape my career. I can't believe what just happened in the past two months, they just passed by saying good bye and each good bye took away its share of happiness from me, what was left over was a body of flesh without any soul.

How are we as common people responsible, well answer the following consciously and you will know
1. Would you pay any kind of donation to get your child admitted to the best school/college in your locality?
2. Would you vote for any independent candidate in a local election?
3. Would you hire an agent to get your driving license/passport?
4. Would you ever raise a complaint against a corrupt official?
5. Would you suppress a case against you by paying bribes?
6. Would you ever apply for a government job?
7. Would you like to be in the army?
8. Would you follow rules judiciously?

When all the 100 crore odd junta of this country have the same answers to the above questions, we can expect a change or a revolution!!
Till then, all one can do is suffer!

How the common man 'suffers'

Recently, all roads leading to IIT Madras were blocked/ choked due to visit of VIP. This so called 'very important person' becomes so important that all others become too 'common' just like in thermodynamics, everything outside the system becomes the 'surrounding'.
Now, that doesn't mean that there shouldn't be VIP's. But, it makes no sense to trouble innocent civilians in his name. The cause of the trouble is a much debated phenomena in India, the million dollar question is: Is it ethical to disturb regular people who commute between places and suddenly realize they are in for a traffic jam, caused by this creature called 'VIP'.
Worse than this creature are his noble deeds, which do not have anything to do for the welfare of the needy but only one motto called "Make the rich, richer" which serves two purposes
  1. Getting famous
  2. Networking

So a classic example of 'एक तीर से दो शिकार ' this creature has no idea of what the common man thinks of all this bull shit.

Coming back to the 'thing' which happened a day before yesterday which irked me into writing this post: A VIP visit to an educational institute like IIT Madras for celebrating a hospital's silver jubilee and launch of new so called state of the art hospitals in rural areas

Unfortunately, the VIP referred to here is the prime minister of our country. No marks for guessing the hospital's name which is none other than the famous Apollo, who started the 'business' of healthcare which was hitherto a noble affair. The ads, hoardings on streets, thousands of beggars hired on the road for support and cheering of the VIP, all these speak volumes about a truly high class business concern. Anyway, an ad given by the concern in newspaper read "In our constant endeavour to deliver quality high tech healthcare to rural areas we are launching ..........". How would any sane person react to this ad, think about it. Its not that they are providing services for free, who would afford such high tech in rural areas and at whose cost would be the first question to arise. The answer is so simple that everyone knows it, so I take great pride in anwering such a question myself

Answer - "The common man's pocket will bear everything"
