Can anybody tell the future

Read the front page article of all daily newspapers dated Oct 11th 2008, in big bold letters, you want to avoid seeing it but its there and the commonest man on this earth is talking about it
"Sensex sheds 1000 points"
Wow, we really need to check tommorow's paper for the number of suicides or murder-suicides committed, but I can't tell you the exact number sitting here right now. Nor can anybody, its the irony that we live with every day
We can never predict the future
People who anticipated that markets would touch 30,000 levels and rupee will appreciate to Rs 35 per dollar were just onlookers to the sad and eventful month, in fact 9/15 has become a global historic date. Its when the big three of the US gave up.
The point that I am making is
-Never be lured by the stock market and never buy shares directly, invest in mutual funds and leave it to the fund managers. Common people like us will get nothing but suffering and huge losses if we start predicting future of markets and stuff.
-About forex, well dont even think in your wildest dreams to become a spot forex trader, its the most dreaded jobs you can ever do which will never let you sleep even if you have had a bottle full of sleeping pills.
These learnings have not originated from me but from my Profs and guest lectures at IIT, so its authentic 'gyaan'.
